There is a small island (well maybe not so small) caled Crete. There there is a very strong and, you can say, nice spirit produced there its called raki. Its 40 % vol. (more and not less) and gives you a soothing warmth during winder and not only. Very dangerous to the unexperienced as it can lead to actions that even beer cant make you do. Its made from grapes which are distiled... If you ever happen to be at the place of making then be prepared to drink a lot and eat a lot but dont take a car there because it will become useless as you will not be able to find the door...... or the keys.........
How To Drink It
Drinking it is not dificult, take a shot glass fill it down it.
There are alternative ways like yellow-submarines, with honey or deep frosen. Submarines: you take a shot glass and a small normall glass, you fill the big glass with beer up to the height of the shot glass, you fill the shot glass with raki, you drop the shot glass in the glass with beer, you down it over a sink, if successfull you take another, if not you look down and be ashamed of your self, keep up until the botle of raki is empty. With honey: It is very very good for colds, you take raki and you boil it with honey and then drink it, its very soothing. You can also add red hot chilli peppers for the cold. Deep frozen: You keep the botle of raki in the freezer for a long period of time, you drink it in shots, very good for the summer.
Crete
Crete is, as I said, an island in the Mediteranian Sea, in Greece. You can go there when ever you like (summer is brilliant) from wherever you like, you can take the ferry from Athens or the plane from many European airports. Crete is known for hospitality, raki, and olive-oil. Oh and I shouldnt forget a history of 5000 years that you can actually see ;)
